Dar Ventures

Dar Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Sidara (the global engineering and architecture group formerly Dar Al-Handasah), founded in 2022 and based in London. It invests in early-stage companies across the built environment — construction technology, smart cities, climate resilience, real estate technology and infrastructure/mobility — typically co-investing on seed and strategic rounds alongside other VCs, and has committed capital to sector-specialist fund Pi Labs' £100M built-environment technology fund (May 2025). Dar Ventures has been a long-standing anchor shareholder in Egyptian real-estate platform Bonyan since its IPO. Co-Founders Nader Aboushadi (also Sidara's Group Chief Treasurer) and Faysal Shair (Director) represent the firm on portfolio boards.
