EBRD Venture Capital

EBRD Venture Capital (the EBRD's Venture Capital Investment Programme, now in phase III / VCIP III) is the direct equity investment arm of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, backing innovative technology companies across the EBRD's countries of operation — Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Turkey, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean — with ticket sizes typically between roughly €2 million and €30 million. It has extended into GCC-linked deals through companies with regional operations, most recently a Series B equity investment in RemotePass, a UAE-incorporated contractor/EOR payroll platform serving the GCC and over 150 countries. The team, led by Ervin Luga (Head of Venture Capital Investments), has backed 47+ disclosed portfolio companies including Paymob, Trendyol, PicsArt, Shapr3D and DocPlanner.
