Global Founders Capital

Global Founders Capital (GFC) is the global venture capital platform of Rocket Internet, launched in late 2013 by Oliver and Marc Samwer together with Fabian Siegel, and headquartered in Berlin. GFC is a sector-agnostic seed-and-growth investor operating worldwide; as of February 2026 it had invested in 613 companies, producing 29 unicorns, 13 IPOs and 90 acquisitions, with early bets including Slack, Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva and Revolut. In the GCC, GFC co-led (with 468 Capital) the $2.5M seed round of UAE expense-management fintech Alaan in March 2022; GFC does not appear among the investors in Alaan's later $48M August 2025 Series A.
