HALA Ventures, founded in 2018 in Al-Khobar by Ali Abussaud and Hussain Almarhoon, is a Saudi-headquartered early- and growth-stage VC investing across fintech, e-commerce, edtech, logistics and B2B marketplaces in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC/MENA. As of September 2025 it had backed 21+ companies with a reported portfolio value exceeding SAR 4 billion, including Torod, VUZ, NearPay, D360 Bank and Raqamyah, with four exits recorded as of mid-2024. In August 2025 the firm received a CMA license and rebranded to HALA Capital, expanding its mandate from venture capital into private equity and private credit.
