DisrupTech Ventures is an early-stage VC founded in 2021 that backs tech- and AI-driven founders across MENA and Africa, typically investing within a company's first 18 months. Across two funds the firm has backed 26 companies spanning three continents with over $100M in combined funding raised, including Egyptian unicorn MNT-Halan, neobank Khazna, and social-commerce platform Brimore. Development-finance institution Proparco invested $5M directly into DisrupTech in May 2023 to expand its support for Egyptian startups. The firm is led by Managing Partner Mohamed Okasha alongside Partner & CIO Yehia Abouelwafa.
