About
Golden Gate Ventures is a Singapore-founded early-stage VC (investing since 2011) that on 16 May 2024 launched a $100 million MENA-focused fund managed out of Doha, Qatar — the first international venture fund established and run from the country — with a first close of $20 million anchored by Qatari conglomerate Al Khor Holding, Al Attiya Group and Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani. The fund targets alternative energy, greentech, B2B AI, energy-related deep tech, fintech, healthtech and edtech. Partner Michael Lints relocated to Doha to lead the fund, joined by Hussain Abdulla, former CEO of QInvest, as Founding Partner, MENA. Regional bets include quantum-security firm SpeQtral, healthtech BioSapien, and a stake in AI infrastructure company Invisible Technologies, valued above $2 billion, reported September 2025.
