Point72 Ventures is the venture arm of Steve Cohen's Point72, investing from pre-seed through pre-IPO in three thematic areas: artificial intelligence, consumer, and defense tech. The firm describes itself as "thematic-driven investors" that pair capital with hands-on sector expertise, and has backed more than 130 companies since starting to invest in 2016. Its GCC-relevant deal was co-leading, alongside Mubadala Capital, a $16 million Series B round in 2019 for Bayzat, the Dubai/Abu Dhabi-based HR, payroll and employee-benefits platform, which remains in its active portfolio.
