Wa'ed Ventures is Saudi Aramco's corporate venture capital arm, investing from seed through growth stage (tickets up to $20 million) in digital, industrial, sustainability and AI-focused start-ups in Saudi Arabia and internationally. Active since 2013, the fund has grown to $500 million in committed capital (up from $200 million in 2022) and had deployed roughly $270 million across more than 75 portfolio companies as of early 2025. In October 2024 it earmarked $100 million specifically for AI investments, and its portfolio includes Pasqal, the quantum-computing pioneer now deploying Saudi Arabia's first quantum computer in partnership with Aramco.
