About
Plug and Play is a Sunnyvale, California-based accelerator and early-stage investor founded in 2006 by Saeed Amidi, an early backer of tenants at its original 165 University Avenue site including Google, PayPal, Dropbox and LendingClub. In June 2023 the firm announced plans to raise a dedicated $100 million fund for Saudi Arabian tech startups, seeking anchor backing from Jada, the Public Investment Fund's venture-focused fund of funds. It runs Saudi accelerator cohorts alongside corporate partners including Aramco, Riyadh Bank and SABIC, with a stated goal of backing around 20 regional startups a year through the program.
