About

Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) is a government-backed investment company established in 2018 as a subsidiary of the SME Bank under the National Development Fund. Rather than investing in startups directly for the most part, SVC stimulates the Kingdom's private capital market by committing to venture capital, private equity, venture debt and private debt funds (35+ VC funds among them, including Impact46, Vision Ventures and Arzan VC) and by co-investing alongside fund managers from pre-seed to pre-IPO. Since inception it has backed more than 65 funds that have in turn funded over 1,000 startups and SMEs.
